A cognitive radio ad hoc networks based disaster management scheme with efficient spectrum management, collaboration and interoperability
Noman Islam, Ghazala Shafi Sheikh, Zeeshan Islam
In this work, a disaster management scheme based on cognitive radio ad hoc network (CRAHN) has been presented. Disaster management has been a big problem for mankind for years. How…
A study of research trends and issues in wireless ad hoc networks
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh
Ad hoc network enables network creation on the fly without support of any predefined infrastructure. The spontaneous erection of networks in anytime and anywhere fashion enables de…
Towards a disaster response system based on cognitive radio ad hoc networks
Noman Islam, Ghazala Shafi Shaikh
This paper presents an approach towards disaster management based on cognitive radio ad hoc network. Despite the growing interests on cognitive radio ad hoc networks, not much work…
HANDY: A Hybrid Association Rules Mining Approach for Network Layer Discovery of Services for Mobile Ad hoc Network
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh, Aqeel-ur-Rehman +1
Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is an infrastructure-less network formed between a set of mobile nodes. The discovery of services in MANET is a challenging job due to the unique prop…
Towards a Grid-based approach to Traffic Routing in VANET
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh, Shahnawaz Talpur
In this paper we have addressed a very important issue of Traffic Management. Our proposed approach provides assistance in traffic routing by integrating VANET and Grid Computing
Service Discovery in Mobile Ad hoc Networks Using Association Rules Mining
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh
We have proposed a novel approach to Service Discovery in Mobile Ad hoc Networks. We have simulated the proposed approach in JIST/SWANS simulator and the results have shown signifi…
Exploiting Correlation among Data Items for Cache Replacement in Ad-hoc Networks
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh
In this paper, we have proposed a novel technique for cache replacement in Ad-hoc Network based on the mining of Association Rules
A novel approach to Service Discovery in Mobile Adhoc Network
Noman Islam, Zubair A. Shaikh
Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is a network of a number of mobile routers and associated hosts, organized in a random fashion via wireless links. During recent years MANET has gained…
