CALIFA across the Hubble types: Spatially resolved properties of the stellar populations
R. M. González Delgado, R. García-Benito, E. Pérez +8
We analyze the spatially resolved star formation history of 300 nearby galaxies from the CALIFA integral field spectroscopic survey to investigate the radial structure and gradient…
Spectral synthesis of stellar populations in the 3D era: The CALIFA experience
R. Cid Fernandes, E. A. D. Lacerda, R. M. González Delgado +8
Methods to recover the fossil record of galaxy evolution encoded in their optical spectra have been instrumental in processing the avalanche of data from mega-surveys along the las…
The star formation history of galaxies in 3D: CALIFA perspective
R. M. González Delgado, R. Cid Fernandes, R. García-Benito +8
We resolve spatially the star formation history of 300 nearby galaxies from the CALIFA integral field survey to investigate: a) the radial structure and gradients of the present st…
Insights on the stellar mass-metallicity relation from the CALIFA survey
R. M. González Delgado, R. Cid Fernandes, R. García-Benito +27
We use spatially and temporally resolved maps of stellar population properties of 300 galaxies from the CALIFA integral field survey to investigate how the stellar metallicity (Z*)…
