Generalized Multicast Multibeam Precoding for Satellite Communications
Vahid Joroughi, Miguel Ángel Vázquez, Ana I. Pérez-Neira
This paper deals with the problem of precoding in multibeam satellite systems. In contrast to general multiuser multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) cellular schemes, multibeam sa…
Precoding in Multigateway Multibeam Satellite Systems
Vahid Joroughi, Miguel Ángel Vázquez, Ana I. Pérez-Neira
This paper considers a multigateway multibeam satellite system with multiple feeds per beam. In these systems, each gateway serves a set of beams (cluster) so that the overall data…
On-Board Beam Generation for Multibeam Satellite Systems
Vahid Joroughi, Miguel Ángel Vázquez, Ana I. Pérez-Neira +1
This paper aims at designing an on-board beam generation process for multibeam satellite systems with the goal of reducing the traffic at the feeder link. Full frequency reuse amon…
Precoding in Multibeam Satellite Communications: Present and Future Challenges
Miguel Ángel Vázquez, Ana Pérez-Neira, Dimitrios Christopoulos +5
Whenever multibeam satellite systems target very aggressive frequency reuse in their coverage area, inter-beam interference becomes the major obstacle for increasing the overall sy…
