Reopening the window on charged dark matter
Leonid Chuzhoy, Edward W. Kolb
We reexamine the limits on charged dark matter particles. We show that if their mass and charge fall in the range 100(q_X/e)^2< m_X < 10^8(q_X/e) TeV, then magnetic fields prevent…
Description of our cosmological spacetime as a perturbed conformal Newtonian metric and implications for the backreaction proposal for the accelerating universe
Edward W. Kolb, Valerio Marra, Sabino Matarrese
It has been argued that the spacetime of our universe can be accurately described by a perturbed conformal Newtonian metric, and hence even large density inhomogeneities in a dust…
On cosmological observables in a swiss-cheese universe (Conference proceeding)
Valerio Marra
By means of a toy Swiss-cheese cosmological model we will discuss how to set up and carry out in a physically meaningful way the idea of back-reaction, according to which dark ener…
Latest inflation model constraints from cosmic microwave background measurements
William H. Kinney, Edward W. Kolb, Alessandro Melchiorri +1
In this addendum to Phys.Rev. D74 (2006) 023502, we present an update of cosmological constraints on single-field inflation in light of the Wilkinson Microwave Ansiotropy Probe sat…
