The effects of peculiar velocities in SN Ia environments on the local measurement
Thomas M. Sedgwick, Chris A. Collins, Ivan K. Baldry +1
The discrepancy between estimates of the Hubble Constant () measured from local () scales and from scales of the sound horizon is a crucial problem in modern c…
Observational evidence for a local underdensity in the Universe and its effect on the measurement of the Hubble Constant
Hans Boehringer, Gayoung Chon, Chris A. Collins
For precision cosmological studies it is important to know the local properties of the reference point from which we observe the Universe. Particularly for the determination of the…
Mass Variance from Archival X-ray Properties of Dark Energy Survey Year-1 Galaxy Clusters
A. Farahi, X. Chen, A. E. Evrard +76
Using archival X-ray observations and a log-normal population model, we estimate constraints on the intrinsic scatter in halo mass at fixed optical richness for a galaxy cluster sa…
Dark Energy Survey Year 1 Results: Calibration of Cluster Mis-centering in the redMaPPer Catalogs
Y. Zhang, T. Jeltema, D. L. Hollowood +83
The center determination of a galaxy cluster from an optical cluster finding algorithm can be offset from theoretical prescriptions or -body definitions of its host halo center.…
