Neutron Irradiation and Electrical Characterisation of the First 8" Silicon Pad Sensor Prototypes for the CMS Calorimeter Endcap Upgrade
CMS HGCAL Collaboration
As part of its HL-LHC upgrade program, the CMS collaboration is replacing its existing endcap calorimeters with a high-granularity calorimeter (CE). The new calorimeter is a sampli…
Reconstruction of signal amplitudes in the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter in the presence of overlapping proton-proton interactions
CMS Collaboration
A template fitting technique for reconstructing the amplitude of signals produced by the lead tungstate crystals of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter is described. This novel app…
Measurements with silicon photomultipliers of dose-rate effects in the radiation damage of plastic scintillator tiles in the CMS hadron endcap calorimeter
CMS Collaboration
Measurements are presented of the reduction of signal output due to radiation damage for plastic scintillator tiles used in the hadron endcap (HE) calorimeter of the CMS detector.…
Performance of the reconstruction and identification of high-momentum muons in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV
CMS Collaboration
The CMS detector at the LHC has recorded events from proton-proton collisions, with muon momenta reaching up to 1.8 TeV in the collected dimuon samples. These high-momentum muons a…
