ASTRA: ASTrometry and phase-Referencing Astronomy on the Keck interferometer
J. Woillez, R. Akeson, M. Colavita +24
ASTRA (ASTrometric and phase-Referencing Astronomy) is an upgrade to the existing Keck Interferometer which aims at providing new self-phase referencing (high spectral resolution o…
First faint dual-field phase-referenced observations on the Keck interferometer
Julien Woillez, Peter Wizinowich, Rachel Akeson +19
Ground-based long baseline interferometers have long been limited in sensitivity by the short integration periods imposed by atmospheric turbulence. The first observation fainter t…
Circumstellar disks and planets. Science cases for next-generation optical/infrared long-baseline interferometers
Sebastian Wolf, Fabien Malbet, Richard Alexander +10
We present a review of the interplay between the evolution of circumstellar disks and the formation of planets, both from the perspective of theoretical models and dedicated observ…
NACO/SAM observations of sources at the Galactic Center
J. Sanchez-Bermudez, R. Schoedel, A. Alberdi +1
Sparse aperture masking (SAM) interferometry combined with Adaptive Optics (AO) is a technique that is uniquely suited to investigate structures near the diffraction limit of large…
