Super- and subradiant emission of two-level systems in the near-Dicke limit
Peter G. Brooke, Karl-Peter Marzlin, James D. Cresser +1
We analyze the stability of super- and subradiant states in a system of identical two-level atoms in the near-Dicke limit, i.e., when the atoms are very close to each other compare…
Complementarity and uncertainty relations for matter wave interferometry
K. -P. Marzlin, B. C. Sanders, P. L. Knight
We establish a rigorous quantitative connection between (i) the interferometric duality relation for which-way information and fringe visibility and (ii) Heisenberg's uncertainty r…
Multi-particle decoherence free subspaces in extended systems
Raisa I. Karasik, Karl-Peter Marzlin, Barry C. Sanders +1
We develop a method to determine spatial configurations to realize decoherence-free subspaces for spatially extended multi-particle systems. We have assumed normal reservoir behavi…
Criteria for dynamically stable decoherence-free subspaces and incoherently generated coherences
Raisa I. Karasik, Karl-Peter Marzlin, Barry C. Sanders +1
We present a detailed analysis of decoherence free subspaces and develop a rigorous theory that provides necessary and sufficient conditions for dynamically stable decoherence free…
