Transport through a quantum ring, a dot and a barrier embedded in a nanowire in magnetic field
Vidar Gudmundsson, Yu-Yu Lin, Chi-Shung Tang +3
We investigate the transport through a quantum ring, a dot and a barrier embedded in a nanowire in a homogeneous perpendicular magnetic field. To be able to treat scattering potent…
Multi-mode transport through a quantum nanowire with two embedded dots
Vidar Gudmundsson, Gudny Gudmundsdottir, Jens Hjorleifur Bardarson +3
We investigate the conductance of a quantum wire with two embedded quantum dots using a T-matrix approach based on the Lippmann-Schwinger formalism. The quantum dots are represente…
Coherent electronic transport in a multimode quantum channel with Gaussian-type scatterers
Jens Hjorleifur Bardarson, Ingibjorg Magnusdottir, Gudny Gudmundsdottir +3
Coherent electron transport through a quantum channel in the presence of a general extended scattering potential is investigated using a T-matrix Lippmann-Schwinger approach. The f…
Net current generation in a 1D quantum ring at zero magnetic field
Sigridur Sif Gylfadottir, Marian Nita, Vidar Gudmundsson +1
We study a non-adiabatic excitation of an electron system in a 1D quantum ring radiated by a short THz pulse. The response of two models, a continuous and discrete, is explored. By…
