Near-IR integral-field spectroscopy of the companion to GQ Lup
Andreas Seifahrt, Ralph Neuhaeuser, Peter H. Hauschildt +1
The first substellar companion of possibly planetary mass around a normal star, GQ Lup, has been directly imaged (Neuhaeuser et al., 2005). Besides the unknown formation history, t…
Direct detection of exoplanet host star companion gamma Cep B and revised masses for both stars and the sub-stellar object
Ralph Neuhaeuser, Markus Mugrauer, Misato Fukagawa +2
The star gamma Cep is known as a single-lined spectroscopic triple system at a distance of 13.8 pc, composed of a K1 III-IV primary star with V = 3.2 mag, a stellar-mass companion…
Detectability of planets in wide binaries by ground-based relative astrometry with AO
Ralph Neuhaeuser, Andreas Seifahrt, Tristan Roell +2
Many planet candidates have been detected by radial velocity variations of the primary star; they are planet candidates, because of the unknown orbit inclination. Detection of the…
A Search for wide visual companions of exoplanet host stars - The Calar Alto Survey
Markus Mugrauer, R. Neuhaeuser, T. Mazeh +3
We have carried out a search for co-moving stellar and substellar companions around 18 exoplanet host stars with the infrared camera MAGIC at the 2.2m Calar Alto telescope, by comp…
