Dark jets in the soft X-ray state of black hole binaries?
S. Drappeau, J. Malzac, M. Coriat +10
X-ray binary observations led to the interpretation that powerful compact jets, produced in the hard state, are quenched when the source transitions to its soft state. The aim of t…
A "high-hard" outburst of the black hole X-ray binary GS 1354-64
K. I. I. Koljonen, D. M. Russell, J. M. Corral-Santana +5
We study in detail the evolution of the 2015 outburst of GS 1354-64 (BW Cir) at optical, UV and X-ray wavelengths using Faulkes Telescope South/LCOGT, SMARTS and Swift. The outburs…
Radio monitoring of the hard state jets in the 2011 outburst of MAXI J1836-194
T. D. Russell, J. C. A. Miller-Jones, P. A. Curran +25
MAXI J1836-194 is a Galactic black hole candidate X-ray binary that was discovered in 2011 when it went into outburst. In this paper, we present the full radio monitoring of this s…
Disc-jet coupling in the 2009 outburst of the black hole candidate H1743-322
J. C. A. Miller-Jones, G. R. Sivakoff, D. Altamirano +15
We present an intensive radio and X-ray monitoring campaign on the 2009 outburst of the Galactic black hole candidate X-ray binary H1743-322. With the high angular resolution of th…
