Response of diamond detector sandwich to 14 MeV neutrons
M. Osipenko, M. Ripani, G. Ricco +5
In this paper we present the measurement of the response of 50 m thin diamond detectors to 14 MeV neutrons. Such neutrons are produced in fusion reactors and are of particular i…
Neutron spectrometer for fast nuclear reactors
M. Osipenko, M. Ripani, G. Ricco +8
In this paper we describe the development and first tests of a neutron spectrometer designed for high flux environments, such as the ones found in fast nuclear reactors. The spectr…
Proton recoil telescope based on diamond detectors for measurement of fusion neutrons
B. Caiffi, M. Osipenko, M. Ripani +2
Diamonds are very promising candidates for the neutron diagnostics in harsh environments such as fusion reactor. In the first place this is because of their radiation hardness, exc…
Test of a prototype neutron spectrometer based on diamond detectors in a fast reactor
M. Osipenko, F. Pompili, M. Ripani +6
A prototype of neutron spectrometer based on diamond detectors has been developed. This prototype consists of a Li neutron converter sandwiched between two CVD diamond crystals…
