Flattening axial intensity oscillations of a diffracted Bessel beam through a cardioid-like hole
Jia-Sheng Ye, Li-Juan Xie, Xin-Ke Wang +3
We present a new feasible way to flatten the axial intensity oscillations for diffraction of a finite-sized Bessel beam, through designing a cardioid-like hole. The boundary formul…
A single diffractive optical element for implementing spectrum-splitting and beam-concentration functions simultaneously with high diffraction efficiency
Jia-Sheng Ye, Jin-Ze Wang, Qing-Li Huang +3
In this paper, a novel method is proposed, and employed to design a single diffractive optical element (DOE) for implementing spectrum-splitting and beam-concentration (SSBC) funct…
Ultrathin Terahertz Planar Lenses
Dan Hu, Xinke Wang, Shengfei Feng +5
Conventional optical components shape the wavefront of propagating light by adjusting the optical path length, which requires the use of rather thick lenses, especially for the adj…
Extraordinary transmission caused by symmetry breaking
Dan Hu, Changqing Xie, Ming Liu +1
The terahertz transmission properties of symmetrical and asymmetrical annular apertures arrays (AAAs) are investigated both experimentally and numerically. It is found that only od…
