A complete metric space without non-trivial separable Lipschitz retracts
Petr Hájek, Andrés Quilis
We construct a complete metric space of cardinality continuum such that every non-singleton closed separable subset of fails to be a Lipschitz retract of . This provides…
Smooth norms in dense subspaces of and operator ranges
Sheldon Dantas, Petr Hájek, Tommaso Russo
For , we prove that the dense subspace of comprising all elements such that for some admits a $C^{\i…
Retractions and the bounded approximation property in Banach spaces
Petr Hájek, Rubén Medina
In the present paper we prove that a necessary condition for a Banach space to admit a generating compact Lipschitz retract , which satisfies an additional mild assumption o…
Schauder basis in Lipschitz free spaces over nets of -spaces
Petr Hájek, Rubén Medina
In the present note we give a construction (based on a retractional argument) of a Schauder basis for the Lipschitz free space , over a net in any separable inf…
Smooth and polyhedral norms via fundamental biorthogonal systems
Sheldon Dantas, Petr Hájek, Tommaso Russo
Let be a Banach space with a fundamental biorthogonal system and let be the dense subspace spanned by the vectors of the system. We prove that $\mathcal…
