Local quantum coherence with intersource interactions at nonzero temperature
Yehor Hudenko, Michal Kolář, Radim Filip +1
Local quantum coherence in a two-level system (TLS) is typically generated via time-dependent driving. However, it can also emerge autonomously from symmetry-breaking interactions…
Optomechanical oscillator controlled by variation in its heat bath temperature
Michal Kolář, Artem Ryabov, Radim Filip
We propose a generation of a low-noise state of optomechanical oscillator by a temperature dependent force. We analyze the situation in which a quantum optomechanical oscillator (d…
Extracting work from quantum states of radiation
M. Kolář, A. Ryabov, R. Filip
Quantum optomechanics opens a possibility to mediate a physical connection of quantum optics and classical thermodynamics. We propose and theoretically analyze a one-way chain star…
Quantum bath refrigeration towards absolute zero: unattainability principle challenged
Michal Kolář, David Gelbwaser-Klimovsky, Robert Alicki +1
A minimal model of a quantum refrigerator (QR), i.e. a periodically phase-flipped two-level system permanently coupled to a finite-capacity bath (cold bath) and an infinite heat du…
