Microlensing of Quasar UV Iron Emission
E. Guerras, E. Mediavilla, J. Jimenez-Vicente +5
We measure the differential microlensing of the UV Fe II and Fe III emission line blends between 14 quasar image pairs in 13 gravitational lenses. We find that the UV iron emission…
The stellar and dark matter distributions in elliptical galaxies from the ensemble of strong gravitational lenses
Masamune Oguri, Cristian E. Rusu, Emilio E. Falco
We derive the average mass profile of elliptical galaxies from the ensemble of 161 strong gravitational lens systems selected from several surveys, assuming that the mass profile s…
Time Delay and Accretion Disk Size Measurements in the Lensed Quasar SBS 0909+532 from Multiwavelength Microlensing Analysis
Laura J. Hainline, Christopher W. Morgan, Chelsea L. MacLeod +7
We present three complete seasons and two half-seasons of SDSS r-band photometry of the gravitationally lensed quasar SBS 0909+532 from the U.S. Naval Observatory, as well as two s…
Dark energy with gravitational lens time delays
T. Treu, P. J. Marshall, F. -Y. Cyr-Racine +35
Strong lensing gravitational time delays are a powerful and cost effective probe of dark energy. Recent studies have shown that a single lens can provide a distance measurement wit…
