Generation of heralded single photons beyond 1100 nm by spontaneous four-wave mixing in a side-stressed femtosecond laser-written waveguide
Zhizhong Yan, Yuwen Duan, L. G. Helt +3
We demonstrate a monolithically integrable heralded photon source in a femtosecond laser direct written glass waveguide. The generation of photon pairs with a wide wavelength separ…
Coherence in parametric fluorescence
T. Onodera, Marco Liscidini, J. E. Sipe +1
We investigate spontaneous four wave mixing (SFWM) in a single-channel side-coupled integrated spaced sequence of resonators (SCISSOR). Analytic expressions for the number of photo…
Active Temporal Multiplexing of Indistinguishable Heralded Single Photons
C. Xiong, X. Zhang, Z. Liu +8
It is a fundamental challenge in quantum optics to deterministically generate indistinguishable single photons through non-deterministic nonlinear optical processes, due to the int…
Multiplexed single-photon state preparation using a fibre-loop architecture
Peter P. Rohde, L. G. Helt, M. J. Steel +1
Heralded spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) has become the mainstay for single-photon state preparation in present-day photonics experiments. Because they are heralded,…
