Reliability Analysis of Large Intelligent Surfaces (LISs): Rate Distribution and Outage Probability
Minchae Jung, Walid Saad, Youngrok Jang +2
Large intelligent surfaces (LISs) have been recently proposed as an effective wireless communication solution that can leverage antenna arrays deployed on the entirety of man-made…
Performance Analysis of Large Intelligent Surfaces (LISs): Asymptotic Data Rate and Channel Hardening Effects
Minchae Jung, Walid Saad, Youngrok Jang +2
The concept of a large intelligent surface (LIS) has recently emerged as a promising wireless communication paradigm that can exploit the entire surface of man-made structures for…
Orthogonal Code-based Block Transmission for Burst Transmission
Hyejin Kim, Insik Jung, Wonsuk Chung +2
This paper proposes a new multi-carrier system, called orthogonal code-based block transmission (OCBT). OCBT applies a time-spreading method with an orthogonal code to have a block…
Network Massive MIMO for Cell-Boundary Users: From a Precoding Normalization Perspective
Changwoo Lee, Chan-Byoung Chae, Taehyung Kim +2
In this paper, we propose network massive multiple- input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, where three radio units (RUs) connected via one digital unit (DU) support multiple user eq…
