Dynamics of weakly localized waves
S. E. Skipetrov, B. A. van Tiggelen
We develop a transport theory to describe the dynamics of (weakly) localized waves in a quasi-1D tube geometry both in reflection and in transmission. We compare our results to rec…
Second harmonic generation in suspensions of spherical particles
E. V. Makeev, S. E. Skipetrov
We study the second harmonic generation (SHG) in a suspension of small spherical particles confined within a slab, assuming undepleted pump and applying (i) single scattering appro…
Dynamic instability of speckle patterns in nonlinear random media
S. E. Skipetrov
Linear stability analysis of speckle pattern resulting from multiple, diffuse scattering of coherent light waves in random media with intensity-dependent refractive index (noninsta…
Diffuse waves in nonlinear disordered media
S. E. Skipetrov, R. Maynard
We review our recent theoretical results on multiple scattering of waves in nonlinear disordered media. In particular, we discuss angular correlations of scattered waves, coherent…
Instability of speckle patterns in random media with noninstantaneous Kerr nonlinearity
S. E. Skipetrov
Onset of the instability of a multiple-scattering speckle pattern in a random medium with Kerr nonlinearity is significantly affected by the noninstantaneous character of the nonli…
