CUORE crystal validation runs: results on radioactive contamination and extrapolation to CUORE background
F. Alessandria, E. Andreotti, R. Ardito +116
The CUORE Crystal Validation Runs (CCVRs) have been carried out since the end of 2008 at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories, in order to test the performances and the radiopurity…
Sensitivity and Discovery Potential of CUORE to Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay
F. Alessandria, R. Ardito, D. R. Artusa +118
We present a study of the sensitivity and discovery potential of CUORE, a bolometric double-beta decay experiment under construction at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso in I…
Discrimination of alpha and beta/gamma interactions in a TeO bolometer
J. W. Beeman, F. Bellini, L. Cardani +9
TeO crystals have proven to be superb bolometers for the search of neutrinoless double beta decay in many respects. However, if used alone, they do not exhibit any feature that…
Performance of a large TeO2 crystal as a cryogenic bolometer in searching for neutrinoless double beta decay
L. Cardani, L. Gironi, J. W. Beeman +5
Bolometers are ideal devices in the search for neutrinoless Double Beta Decay. Enlarging the mass of individual detectors would simplify the construction of a large experiment, but…
