Band nonlinearity-enabled manipulation of Dirac nodes, Weyl cones, and valleytronics with intense linearly polarized light
Ofer Neufeld, Hannes Hübener, Gregor Jotzu +2
We study low-frequency linearly-polarized laser-dressing in materials with valley (graphene and hexagonal-Boron-Nitride), and topological (Dirac- and Weyl-semimetals), properties.…
Mapping light-dressed Floquet bands by highly nonlinear optical excitations and valley polarization
Anna Galler, Angel Rubio, Ofer Neufeld
Ultrafast nonlinear optical phenomena in solids have been attracting major interest as novel methodologies for femtosecond spectroscopy of electron dynamics and control of material…
Topological Floquet engineering using two frequencies in two dimensions
Yixiao Wang, Anne-Sophie Walter, Gregor Jotzu +1
Using two-frequency driving in two dimensions opens up new possibilites for Floquet engineering, which range from controlling specific symmetries to tuning the properties of resona…
Giant resonant enhancement for photo-induced superconductivity in KC
E. Rowe, B. Yuan, M. Buzzi +8
Photo-excitation at terahertz and mid-infrared frequencies has emerged as a new way to manipulate functionalities in quantum materials, in some cases creating non-equilibrium phase…
