Airglow and magnetic field disturbances over Brazilian region during Chile tsunami (2015)
V. Klausner, F. C. de Meneses, C. M. N. Candido +3
In this work, we present first report on disturbances over Brazilian atmosphere on 16--17 September, 2015 following the Chile tsunami occurrence. Using all-sky imager and magnetome…
Rayleigh and acoustic gravity waves detection on magnetograms during the Japanese Tsunami, 2011
Virginia Klausner, Esfhan A. Kherani, Marcio T. A. H. Muella +3
The continuous geomagnetic field survey holds an important potential in future prevention of tsunami damages, and also, it could be used in tsunami forecast. In this work, we were…
Study of local regularities in the solar wind data and ground magnetograms
Virginia Klausner, Arian Ojeda González, Margarete Oliveira Domingues +2
Interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) can reach the Earth's magnetosphere causing magnetic disturbances. It can be measured by satellite and ground-based magnetometers. Dat…
Analysis on diurnal global geomagnetic variability under quiet-time conditions
Virginia Klausner, Margarete Oliveira Domingues, Odim Mendes +2
This paper describes a methodology (or treatment) to establish a representative signal of the global magnetic diurnal variation based on a spatial distribution in both longitude an…
Tsunami effects on the Z component of the geomagnetic field
Virginia Klausner, Margarete O. Domingues, Odim Mendes +1
The vertical component (Z) of the geomagnetic field observed by ground-based observatories of the INTERMAGNET network has been used to analyze the effects of the movement of electr…
Characteristics of solar diurnal variations: a case study based on records from the ground magnetic observatory at Vassouras, Brazil
Virginia Klausner, Andres R. R. Papa, Odim Mendes +2
The horizontal component amplitudes of magnetograms recorded by ground-based observatories of the INTERMAGNET network have been used to analyze the global pattern variance of the s…
