Formal Modelling of Safety Architecture for Responsibility-Aware Autonomous Vehicle via Event-B Refinement
Tsutomu Kobayashi, Martin Bondu, Fuyuki Ishikawa
Ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles (AVs) is the key requisite for their acceptance in society. This complexity is the core challenge in formally proving their safety condit…
Robustifying Controller Specifications of Cyber-Physical Systems Against Perceptual Uncertainty
Tsutomu Kobayashi, Rick Salay, Ichiro Hasuo +3
Formal reasoning on the safety of controller systems interacting with plants is complex because developers need to specify behavior while taking into account perceptual uncertainty…
Architecture-Guided Test Resource Allocation Via Logic
Clovis Eberhart, Akihisa Yamada, Stefan Klikovits +4
We introduce a new logic named Quantitative Confidence Logic (QCL) that quantifies the level of confidence one has in the conclusion of a proof. By translating a fault tree represe…
Towards Refinement Strategy Planning for Event-B
Tsutomu Kobayashi, Shinichi Honiden
Event-B is a formal approach oriented to system modeling and analysis. It supports refinement mechanism that enables stepwise modeling and verification of a system. By using refine…
