An Efficient -BIC to BIC Transformation and Its Application to Black-Box Reduction in Revenue Maximization
Yang Cai, Argyris Oikonomou, Grigoris Velegkas +1
We consider the black-box reduction from multi-dimensional revenue maximization to virtual welfare maximization. Cai et al. show a polynomial-time approximation-preserving reductio…
Multi-Item Mechanisms without Item-Independence: Learnability via Robustness
Johaness Brustle, Yang Cai, Constantinos Daskalakis
We study the sample complexity of learning revenue-optimal multi-item auctions. We obtain the first set of positive results that go beyond the standard but unrealistic setting of i…
Simple and Approximately Optimal Pricing for Proportional Complementarities
Yang Cai, Nikhil R. Devanur, Kira Goldner +1
We study a new model of complementary valuations, which we call "proportional complementarities." In contrast to common models, such as hypergraphic valuations, in our model, we do…
Simple Mechanisms for Profit Maximization in Multi-item Auctions
Yang Cai, Mingfei Zhao
We study a classical Bayesian mechanism design problem where a seller is selling multiple items to multiple buyers. We consider the case where the seller has costs to produce the i…
