End-to-end Precoding Validation over a Live GEO Satellite Forward Link
Jevgenij Krivochiza, Juan Carlos Merlano Duncan, Jorge Querol +5
In this paper we demonstrate end-to-end precoded multi-user multiple-input single-output (MU-MISO) communications over a live GEO satellite link. Precoded communications enable ful…
Four-dimensional signalling schemes - Application to satellite communications
Lionel Arend, Jens Krause, Michel Marso +1
In satellite communications both polarizations of an electromagnetic wave are used to transmit two separate signals. These two independent signals can be merged to form one dual-po…
Coordinated Multibeam Satellite Co-location: The Dual Satellite Paradigm
Dimitrios Christopoulos, Shree Krishna Sharma, Symeon Chatzinotas +1
In the present article, a new system architecture for the next generation of satellite communication (SatComs) is presented. The key concept lies in the collaboration between multi…
Multi-User Detection in Multibeam Mobile Satellite Systems: A Fair Performance Evaluation
Dimitrios Christopoulos, Symeon Chatzinotas, Jens Krause +1
Multi-User Detection (MUD) techniques are currently being examined as promising technologies for the next generation of broadband, interactive, multibeam, satellite communication (…
