Interferometric sensitivity and entanglement by scanning through quantum phase transitions in spinor Bose-Einstein condensates
P. Feldmann, M. Gessner, M. Gabbrielli +4
Recent experiments have demonstrated the generation of entanglement by quasi-adiabatically driving through quantum phase transitions of a ferromagnetic spin-1 Bose-Einstein condens…
Heralded Generation of Macroscopic Superposition States in a Spinor Bose-Einstein Condensate
L. Pezze', M. Gessner, P. Feldmann +3
We propose to generate macroscopic superposition states of a large number of atoms in the ground state of a three-mode spinor Bose-Einstein condensate. The ground state is protecte…
Statistical speed of quantum states: Generalized quantum Fisher information and Schatten speed
Manuel Gessner, Augusto Smerzi
We analyze families of measures for the quantum statistical speed which include as special cases the quantum Fisher information, the trace speed, i.e., the quantum statistical spee…
Entanglement and squeezing in continuous-variable systems
Manuel Gessner, Luca Pezzè, Augusto Smerzi
We introduce a multi-mode squeezing coefficient to characterize entanglement in -partite continuous-variable systems. The coefficient relates to the squeezing of collective obse…
