Motivic-type Invariants of Blow-analytic Equivalence
Satoshi Koike, Adam Parusinski
To a given analytic function germ , we associate zeta functions , , defined analogously to the motivic…
Newton-Puiseux Roots of Jacobian Determinants
Tzee-Char Kuo, Adam Parusinski
Let denote either a pair of holomorphic function germs, or a pair of monic polynomials in whose coefficients are Laurent series in . A relative polar arc is…
Topology of Injective Endomorphisms of Real Algebraic Sets
Adam Parusinski
Using only basic topological properties of real algebraic sets and regular morphisms we show that any injective regular self-mapping of a real algebraic set is surjective. Then we…
Virtual Betti numbers of real algebraic varieties
Clint McCrory, Adam Parusinski
The weak factorization theorem for birational maps is used to prove that for all nonnegative i the ith mod 2 Betti number of compact nonsingular real algebraic varieties has a uniq…
Algebraically constructible functions: real algebra and topology
Clint McCrory, Adam Parusinski
Algebraically constructible functions connect real algebra with the topology of algebraic sets. In this survey we present some history, definitions, properties, and algebraic chara…
