Closed subspaces which are attractors for representations of the Cuntz algebras
Palle E. T. Jorgensen
We analyze the structure of co-invariant subspaces for representations of the Cuntz algebras O_N for N = 2,3,..., N < infinity, with special attention to the representations which…
Wavelets in mathematical physics: q-oscillators
Palle E. T. Jorgensen, Anna Paolucci
We construct representations of a q-oscillator algebra by operators on Fock space on positive matrices. They emerge from a multiresolution scaling construction used in wavelet anal…
Estimates on the Spectrum of Fractals Arising From Affine Iterations
Palle E. T. Jorgensen, Steen Pedersen
In the first section we review recent results on the harmonic analysis of fractals generated by iterated function systems with emphasis on spectral duality. Classical harmonic anal…
The existence problem for dynamics of dissipative systems in quantum probability
Palle E. T. Jorgensen
Motivated by existence problems for dissipative systems arising naturally in lattice models from quantum statistical mechanics, we consider the following -algebraic setti…
Wavelet representations and Fock space on positive matrices
P. E. T. Jorgensen, D. W. Kribs
We show that every biorthogonal wavelet determines a representation by operators on Hilbert space satisfying simple identities, which captures the established relationship between…
