Probing the atmosphere of a solar-like star by galactic microlensing at high magnification
F. Abe, D. P. Bennett, I. A. Bond +30
We report a measurement of limb darkening of a solar-like star in the very high magnification microlensing event MOA 2002-BLG-33. A 15 hour deviation from the light curve profile e…
OGLE-2003-BLG-262: Finite-Source Effects from a Point-Mass Lens
Jaiyul Yoo, D. L. DePoy, A. Gal-Yam +16
We analyze OGLE-2003-BLG-262, a relatively short, t_E=12.5+-0.1day, microlensing event generated by a point-mass lens transiting the face of a K giant source in the Galactic bulge.…
The redshift distribution of gravitational lenses revisited: Constraints on galaxy mass evolution
Eran O. Ofek, Hans-Walter Rix, Dan Maoz
The redshifts of lens galaxies in known gravitational lens systems probe the volume distribution of lensing mass. Following earlier work by Kochanek, we re-derive the lens redshift…
Time delay measurement of the lensed quasar HE1104-1805
Eran O. Ofek, Dan Maoz
We have measured the time delay between the two images of the gravitationally lensed quasar HE1104-1805 by combining observations made with the Wise Observatory 1m telescope and pu…
