Entangling remote nuclear spins linked by a chromophore
Marcus Schaffry, Vasileia Filidou, Steven D. Karlen +10
Molecular nanostructures may constitute the fabric of future quantum technologies, if their degrees of freedom can be fully harnessed. Ideally one might use nuclear spins as low-de…
Probabilistic growth of large entangled states with low error accumulation
Yuichiro Matsuzaki, Simon C Benjamin, Joseph Fitzsimons
The creation of complex entangled states, resources that enable quantum computation, can be achieved via simple 'probabilistic' operations which are individually likely to fail. Ho…
Sustained Quantum Coherence and Entanglement in the Avian Compass
Erik Gauger, Elisabeth Rieper, John J. L. Morton +2
In artificial systems, quantum superposition and entanglement typically decay rapidly unless cryogenic temperatures are used. Could life have evolved to exploit such delicate pheno…
Prospects for measurement-based quantum computing with solid state spins
Simon C. Benjamin, Brendon W. Lovett, Jason M. Smith
This article aims to review the developments, both theoretical and experimental, that have in the past decade laid the ground for a new approach to solid state quantum computing. M…
