Unveiling the Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 Nature of Mrk 573 using near-Infrared spectroscopy
Cristina Ramos Almeida, Ana M. Perez Garcia, Jose A. Acosta-Pulido +1
In this letter we present clear evidence that Mrk 573 is an obscured Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 (NLSy1) and not an archetypal Seyfert 2, as it has been classified until now. Only three…
The X-ray nature of the LINER nuclear sources
I. Marquez, O. Gonzalez-Martin, J. Masegosa +2
The analysis of the X-ray data for a sample of 51 LINER nuclei with available X-ray Chandra imaging is reported. Our aim was to investigate the physical mechanisms which power LINE…
X-ray nature of the LINER nuclear sources
Omaira Gonzalez-Martin, Josefa Masegosa, Isabel Marquez +2
We report the results from an homogeneous analysis of the X-ray (Chandra-ACIS) data available for a sample of 51 LINER galaxies selected from the catalogue by Carrillo et al. (1999…
The Ultra Luminous X-ray sources in the High Velocity System of NGC 1275
O. Gonzalez-Martin, A. C. Fabian, J. S. Sanders
We report the results of a study of X-ray point sources coincident with the High Velocity System (HVS) projected in front of NGC 1275. A very deep X-ray image of the core of the Pe…
