New High-Precision Drift-Tube Detectors for the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer
H. Kroha, R. Fakhrutdinov, O. Kortner +3
Small-diameter muon drift tube (sMDT) detectors have been developed for upgrades of the ATLAS muon spectrometer. With a tube diameter of 15 mm, they provide an about an order of ma…
Development of a Highly Selective First-Level Muon Trigger for ATLAS at HL-LHC Exploiting Precision Muon Drift-Tube Data
S. Abovyan, V. Danielyan, M. Fras +8
The High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will provide the unique opportunity to explore the nature of physics beyond the Standard Model of strong and electroweak interactions. Highly selec…
Performance of New High-Precision Muon Tracking Detectors for the ATLAS Experiment
Hubert Kroha, Oliver Kortner, Korbinian Schmidt-Sommerfeld +1
The goals of the ongoing and planned ATLAS muon detector upgrades are to increase the acceptance for precision muon momentum measurement and triggering and to improve the rate capa…
