Subwavelength electromagnetic diode: one-way response of cascading nonlinear meta-atoms
Yuancheng Fan, Jin Han, Zeyong Wei +4
We propose a scheme for realizing subwavelength electromagnetic diode by employing cascading nonlinear meta-atoms. One-way response is demonstrated on a microwave transmission line…
Broadband negative refraction in stacked fishnet metamaterial
Zeyong Wei, Yang Cao, Jin Han +3
We demonstrate a scheme to utilize the stacked fishnet metamaterial for all-angle negative refraction and subwavelength imaging within a wide frequency range starting from zero fre…
Spatially coherent surface resonance states derived from magnetic resonances
Zeyong Wei, Hongqiang Li, Yang Cao +6
A thin metamaterial slab comprising a dielectric spacer sandwiched between a metallic grating and a ground plane is shown to possess spatially coherent surface resonance states tha…
The Photonic Band theory and the negative refraction experiment of metallic helix metamaterials
Chao Wu, Hongqiang Li, Zeyong Wei +2
We develop a theory to compute and interpret the photonic band structure of a periodic array of metallic helices for the first time. Interesting features of band structure include…
