An Extensible Network Slicing Framework for Satellite Integration into 5G
Youssouf Drif, Emmanuel Chaput, Emmanuel Lavinal +4
For the past decades, networks have evolved to increase their performances, their capacities, to reduce latencies and optimize their resource management in order to remain competit…
Enhancing Satellite System Throughput Using Adaptive HARQ for Delay Tolerant Services in Mobile Communications
Rami Ali Ahmad, Jérôme Lacan, Fabrice Arnal +2
In this paper we propose the introduction of adaptive hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) in the context of mobile satellite communications. HARQ schemes which are commonly used…
Combining Adaptive Coding and Modulation with Hierarchical Modulation in Satcom Systems
Hugo Meric, Jérôme Lacan, Fabrice Arnal +2
We investigate the design of a broadcast system in order to maximise the throughput. This task is usually challenging due to the channel variability. Forty years ago, Cover introdu…
Improving broadcast channel rate using hierarchical modulation
Hugo Meric, Jérôme Lacan, Fabrice Arnal +2
We investigate the design of a broadcast system where the aim is to maximise the throughput. This task is usually challenging due to the channel variability. Modern satellite commu…
