Optical Wireless Cochlear Implants
Stylianos E. Trevlakis, Alexandros-Apostolos A. Boulogeorgos, Paschalis C. Sofotasios +2
In the present contribution, we introduce a wireless optical communication-based system architecture which is shown to significantly improve the reliability and the spectral and po…
On Shadowing the - Fading Model
Nidhi Simmons, Carlos Rafael Nogueira da Silva, Simon L. Cotton +3
In this paper, we extensively investigate the way in which - fading channels can be impacted by shadowing. A family of shadowed - fading models are introduced and class…
Entropy and Energy Detection-based Spectrum Sensing over F Composite Fading Channels
Seong Ki Yoo, Simon L. Cotton, Paschalis C. Sofotasios +3
In this paper, we investigate the performance of energy detection-based spectrum sensing over F composite fading channels. To this end, an analytical expression for the average det…
On the Secrecy Capacity of Fisher-Snedecor F Fading Channels
Osamah S. Badarneh, Paschalis C. Sofotasios, Sami Muhaidat +3
The performance of physical-layer security of the classic Wyner's wiretap model over Fisher-Snedecor F composite fading channels is considered in this work. Specifically, the main…
