Nodal properties of eigenfunctions of a generalized buckling problem on balls
Colette De Coster, Serge Nicaise, Christophe Troestler
In this paper we are interested in the following fourth order eigenvalue problem coming from the buckling of thin films on liquid substrates: \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} Δ^2 u+…
Stability of an abstract-wave equation with delay and a Kelvin-Voigt damping
Kais Ammari, Serge Nicaise, Cristina Pignotti
In this paper we consider a stabilization problem for the abstract-wave equation with delay. We prove an exponential stability result for appropriate damping coefficient. The proof…
Exponential stability of abstract evolution equations with time delay
Serge Nicaise, Cristina Pignotti
We consider abstract semilinear evolution equations with a time delay feedback. We show that, if the -semigroup describing the linear part of the model is exponentially stable…
Exponential stability of the wave equation with memory and time delay
Fatiha Alabau-Boussouira, Serge Nicaise, Cristina Pignotti
We study the asymptotic behaviour of the wave equation with viscoelastic damping in presence of a time-delayed damping. We prove exponential stability if the amplitude of the time…
