Hybrid Architecture Gets Fluid: A New Paradigm for Direction-of-arrival Estimation in 6G Networks
Ye Tian, Jiaji Ren, Tuo Wu +5
High-precision direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation, as a key sensing capability for 6G-enabled applications such as autonomous driving and extended reality, is increasingly depen…
Enhanced Channel Estimation for Flexible Intelligent Metasurface-Aided Communication Systems
Jinyue Jiang, Jiancheng An, Lu Gan +3
Flexible intelligent metasurface (FIM) has recently received considerable interest due to its advantage in realizing a better channel condition by dynamically morphing its surface…
Fluid Antennas Meet Intelligent Surfaces: Security Analysis of NOMA Systems Under Hardware Impairments
Tuo Wu, Jianchao Zheng, Xiazhi Lai +3
The revolutionary convergence of fluid antenna systems (FAS) and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) creates unprecedented opportunities for secure wireless communications, y…
SE-EE Tradeoff in Pinching-Antenna Systems: Waveguide Multiplexing or Waveguide Switching?
Guangyu Zhu, Xidong Mu, Li Guo +3
The spectral and energy efficiency (SE-EE) trade-off in pinching-antenna systems (PASS) is investigated in this paper. In particular, two practical operating protocols, namely wave…
