Curve and surface construction based on the generalized toric-Bernstein basis functions
Jing-Gai Li, Chun-Gang Zhu
The construction of parametric curve and surface plays important role in computer aided geometric design (CAGD), computer aided design (CAD), and geometric modeling. In this paper,…
Total Positivity of A Kind of Generalized Toric-Bernstein Basis
Ying-Ying Yu, Hui Ma, Chun-Gang Zhu
The normalized totally positive bases are widely used in many fields.Based on the generalized Vandermonde determinant, the normalized total positivity of a kind of generalized tori…
Degenerations of NURBS curves while all of weights approaching infinity
Yue Zhang, Chun-Gang Zhu
NURBS curve is widely used in Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Geometric Design. When a single weight approaches infinity, the limit of a NURBS curve tends to the correspon…
Injectivity of 2D Toric Bézier Patches
Frank Sottile, Chungang Zhu
Rational Bézier functions are widely used as mapping functions in surface reparameterization, finite element analysis, image warping and morphing. The injectivity (one-to-one prope…
Toric degenerations of Bezier patches
Luis David Garcia-Puente, Frank Sottile, Chungang Zhu
The control polygon of a Bezier curve is well-defined and has geometric significance---there is a sequence of weights under which the limiting position of the curve is the control…
