First observation of a tau neutrino charged current interaction with charm production in the Opera experiment
N. Agafonova, A. Alexandrov, A. Anokhina +124
An event topology with two secondary vertices compatible with the decay of short-lived particles was found in the analysis of neutrino interactions in the Opera target. The observe…
Detecting and Studying High-Energy Collider Neutrinos with FASER at the LHC
FASER Collaboration, Henso Abreu, Claire Antel +45
Neutrinos are copiously produced at particle colliders, but no collider neutrino has ever been detected. Colliders, and particularly hadron colliders, produce both neutrinos and an…
DsTau: Study of tau neutrino production with 400 GeV protons from the CERN-SPS
Shigeki Aoki, Akitaka Ariga, Tomoko Ariga +27
In the DsTau experiment at the CERN SPS, an independent and direct way to measure tau neutrino production following high energy proton interactions was proposed. As the main source…
Final results on neutrino oscillation parameters from the OPERA experiment in the CNGS beam
OPERA Collaboration, N. Agafonova, A. Alexandrov +124
The OPERA experiment has conclusively observed the appearance of tau neutrinos in the muon neutrino CNGS beam. Exploiting the OPERA detector capabilities, it was possible to isolat…
