Upper-limit on the Advanced Virgo output mode cleaner cavity length noise
R Bonnand, M Ducrot, R Gouaty +6
The Advanced Virgo detector uses two monolithic optical cavities at its output port to suppress higher order modes and radio frequency sidebands from the carrier light used for gra…
GEO 600 and the GEO-HF upgrade program: successes and challenges
K. L. Dooley, J. R. Leong, T. Adams +25
The German-British laser-interferometric gravitational wave detector GEO 600 is in its 14th year of operation since its first lock in 2001. After GEO 600 participated in science ru…
Alignment sensing and control for squeezed vacuum states of light
Emil Schreiber, Kathrine L. Dooley, Henning Vahlbruch +10
Beam alignment is an important practical aspect of the application of squeezed states of light. Misalignments in the detection of squeezed light result in a reduction of the observ…
Thermal Correction of Astigmatism in the Gravitational Wave Observatory GEO 600
Holger Wittel, Harald Lück, Christoph Affeldt +10
The output port of GEO 600 is dominated by unwanted high order modes (HOMs). The current thermal actuation system, a ring heater behind one of the folding mirrors, causes a signifi…
