Magnetic fields and cosmic rays in M 31. I. Spectral indices, scale lengths, Faraday rotation, and magnetic field pattern
R. Beck, E. M. Berkhuijsen, R. Gießübel +1
Three deep radio continuum surveys of the Andromeda galaxy, M 31, were performed at 11.3, 6.2, and 3.6 cm wavelength with the Effelsberg 100-m telescope. At all wavelengths, the to…
Coordinated NIR/mm observations of flare emission from Sagittarius A*
D. Kunneriath, G. Witzel, A. Eckart +28
We report on a successful, simultaneous observation and modelling of the millimeter (mm) to near-infrared (NIR) flare emission of the Sgr A* counterpart associated with the superma…
The extreme luminosity states of Sagittarius A*
N. Sabha, G. Witzel, A. Eckart +10
We discuss mm-wavelength radio, 2.2-11.8um NIR and 2-10 keV X-ray light curves of the super massive black hole (SMBH) counterpart of Sagittarius A* (SgrA*) near its lowest and high…
Near infrared flares of Sagittarius A*: Importance of near infrared polarimetry
M. Zamaninasab, A. Eckart, G. Witzel +11
We report on the results of new simulations of near-infrared (NIR) observations of the Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*) counterpart associated with the super-massive black hole at the Galac…
