Probing the Strong Gravity Region of Black Holes with eXTP
Qingcui Bu, Cosimo Bambi, Lijun Gou +42
We present the novel capabilities of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission to study the strong gravity region around stellar-mass black holes in X-ray binary sys…
The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission -- eXTP for launch in 2030
Shuang-Nan Zhang, Andrea Santangelo, Yupeng Xu +155
In this paper we present the current status of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission, which has been fully approved for launch in 2030. eXTP is a space science mission…
Sub-second optical/near-infrared quasi-periodic oscillations from the black hole X-ray transient Swift J1727.8-1613
F. M. Vincentelli, T. Shahbaz, P. Casella +14
We report on the detection of optical/near-infrared (O-IR) quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) from the black hole X-ray transient Swift J1727.8-1613. We obtained three X-ray and O-…
Modelling variability power spectra of active galaxies from irregular time series
Mehdy Lefkir, Simon Vaughan, Daniela Huppenkothen +2
A common feature of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) is their random variations in brightness across the whole emission spectrum, from radio to -rays. Studying the nature and origin…
