Probing Kinematic Anisotropies in the Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background with the SKA
N. M. J. Cruz, Ameek Malhotra, Gianmassimo Tasinato +1
Pulsar Timing Arrays (PTAs) and astrometric surveys provide complementary probes of the nanohertz stochastic gravitational-wave background (SGWB). A primary target is the kinematic…
Data-Driven Discovery of a Simple Phantom-Crossing Dark Energy Parametrization
Giulia Borghetto, Ameek Malhotra, Simran Arora +4
We develop a data-driven reconstruction programme for the dark-energy equation of state within VCDM, a minimally modified gravity framework in which both background and linear pert…
Rolling with modular symmetry: quintessence and de Sitter in heterotic orbifolds
Hansel Gordillo-Ruiz, Miguel Hernandez-Segura, Ignacio Portillo-Castillo +2
Modular invariance is a fundamental symmetry in string compactifications, constraining both the structure of the effective theory and the dynamics of moduli and matter fields. It h…
On Bouncing Brane-Worlds, S-branes and Branonium Cosmology
C. P. Burgess, F. Quevedo, R. Rabadan +2
We present several higher-dimensional spacetimes for which observers living on 3-branes experience an induced metric which bounces. The classes of examples include boundary branes…
