Chandra and XMM-Newton Observations of NGC 4214: The Hot Interstellar Medium and the Luminosity Function of Dwarf Starbursts
Joanna M. Hartwell, Ian R. Stevens, David K. Strickland +2
We present results from Chandra and XMM-Newton X-ray observations of NGC 4214, a nearby dwarf starburst galaxy containing several young regions of very active star-formation. Starb…
The Cluster Wind from Local Massive Star Clusters
Ian R. Stevens, Joanna M. Hartwell
Results of a study of the theoretically predicted and observed X-ray properties of local massive star clusters are presented, with a focus on understanding the mass and energy flow…
An X-ray investigation of the NGC 346 field in the SMC (2) : the field population
Y. Naze, J. M. Hartwell, I. R. Stevens +5
We present results from a Chandra observation of the NGC346 cluster, which is the ionizing source of N66, the most luminous HII region and the largest star formation region in the…
An X-ray investigation of the NGC346 field in the SMC (1) : the LBV HD5980 and the NGC346 cluster
Y. Naze, J. M. Hartwell, I. R. Stevens +5
We present results from a Chandra observation of the NGC346 cluster. This cluster contains numerous massive stars and is responsible for the ionization of N66, the most luminous HI…
