Electron-positron pair production by gamma rays in an anisotropic flux of soft photons, and application to pulsar polar caps
Guillaume Voisin, Fabrice Mottez, Silvano Bonazzola
Electron-positron pair production by collision of photons is investigated in view of application to pulsar physics. We compute the absorption rate of individual gamma-ray photons b…
The Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection (GRAND): Present and Perspectives
Ke Fang, Jaime Álvarez-Muñiz, Rafael Alves Batista +33
The Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection (GRAND) aims at detecting ultra-high energy extraterrestrial neutrinos via the extensive air showers induced by the decay of tau lepton…
Quantum theory of curvature and synchro-curvature radiation in a strong and curved magnetic field, and applications to neutron star magnetospheres
Guillaume Voisin, Silvano Bonazzola, Fabrice Mottez
In a previous paper, we derived the quantum states of a Dirac particle in a circular, intense magnetic field in the limit of low momentum perpendicular to the field with the purpos…
Dirac states of an electron in a circular intense magnetic field
Guillaume Voisin, Silvano Bonazzola, Fabrice Mottez
Neutron-star magnetospheres are structured by very intense magnetic fields extending from 100 to 10 5 km traveled by very energetic electrons and positrons with Lorentz factors up…
