L. Palaversa, E. Donev, Ž. Ivezić +96
Aims: We investigate the utility of Rubin's Data Preview 1 for estimating stellar number density profile in the Milky Way halo. Methods: Stellar broad-band near-UV to near-IR $ugri…
Photometric Redshift Estimation for Rubin Observatory Data Preview 1 with Redshift Assessment Infrastructure Layers (RAIL)
T. Zhang, E. Charles, J. F. Crenshaw +87
We present the first systematic analysis of photometric redshifts (photo-z) estimated from the Rubin Observatory Data Preview 1 (DP1) data taken with the Legacy Survey of Space and…
Identification and photometric classification of extragalactic transients in the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Data Preview 1
James Freeburn, Igor Andreoni, Kaylee M. de Soto +55
The Vera C. Rubin Observatory will soon survey the southern sky, delivering a depth and sky coverage that is unprecedented in time domain astronomy. As part of commissioning, Data…
Enabling Early Transient Discovery in LSST via Difference Imaging with DECam
Yize Dong, Kaylee de Soto, V. Ashley Villar +58
We present SLIDE, a pipeline that enables transient discovery in data from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), using archival images from the Da…
