A New Large-Well 1024x1024 Si:As Detector for the Mid-Infrare
A. K. Mainzer, J. Hong, M. Stapelbroek +7
We present a description of a new 1024x1024 Si:As array designed for ground-based use from 5 - 28 microns. With a maximum well depth of 5e6 electrons, this device brings large-form…
High Spatial Resolution Imaging of NGC 1068 in the Mid Infrared
J. J. Bock, G. Neugebauer, K. Matthews +6
Mid-infrared observations of the central source of NGC 1068 have been obtained with a spatial resolution in the deconvolved image of 0.1" (~ 7pc). The central source is extended by…
High Resolution Mid-Infrared Imaging of Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies
B. T. Soifer, G. Neugebauer, K. Matthews +9
Observations of ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) with an achieved resolution approaching the diffraction limit in the mid-infrared from 8 - 25 m using the Keck Telescope…
High Spatial Resolution Imaging of Arp 220 from 3 - 25 microns
B. T. Soifer, G. Neugebauer, K. Matthews +5
Images of Arp 220 from 3.45 to 24.5 m with 0.5'' resolution are presented which clearly separate the nucleus into at least two components. The western component is about three t…
