XMM-Newton observations of the black hole X-ray transient XTE J1650-500 in quiescence
Jeroen Homan, Rudy Wijnands, Albert Kong +4
We report the result of an XMM-Newton observation of the black-hole X-ray transient XTE J1650-500 in quiescence. The source was not detected and we set upper limits on the 0.5-10 k…
Iron-line and continuum flux variations in the RXTE spectra of the black-hole candidate XTE J1650-500
Sabrina Rossi, Jeroen Homan, Jon M. Miller +1
We present the results of spectral fits made to 57 pointed observations of the Galactic black hole candidate and X-ray transient XTE J1650-500, made with the Rossi X-ray Timing Exp…
State transitions in the 2001/2002 outburst of XTE J1650-500
Sabrina Rossi, Jeroen Homan, Jon M. Miller +1
We present a study of the X-ray transient and black hole candidate XTE J1650-500 during its 2001/2002 outburst. The source made two state transitions between the hard and soft stat…
High frequency quasi-periodic oscillations in the black hole X-ray transient XTE J1650-500
Jeroen Homan, Marc Klein-Wolt, Sabrina Rossi +5
We report the detection of high frequency variability in the black hole X-ray transient XTE J1650-500. A quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) was found at 250 Hz during a transition fr…
