A simple polynomial for a transposition over finite fields

Amr Ali Abdulkader Al-Maktry

Let $q > 2$ , and let $a$ and $b$ be two elements of the finite field $F_{q}$ with $a \neq = 0$ . Carlitz represented the transposition $(0 a)$ by a polynomial of degree $(q - 2)^{3}$ . I…

On the structures of a monoid of triangular vector-permutation polynomials, its group of units and its induced group of permutations

Amr Ali Abdulkader Al-Maktry

Let $n > 1$ and let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity $1 \neq = 0$ and $R [x_{1}, \dots, x_{n}]^{n}$ the set of all $n$ -tuples of polynomials of the form $(f_{1}, \dots, f_{n}),$ where $f_1,\ld…

On the group of unit-valued polynomial functions

Amr Ali Al-Maktry

Let $R$ be a finite commutative ring with $1 \neq = 0$ . The set $F (R)$ of polynomial functions on $R$ is a finite commutative ring with pointwise operations. Its group of uni…

Polynomial functions over dual numbers of several variables

A. A. A. Al-Maktry

Let $k \in N ∖ {0}$ . For a commutative ring $R$ , the ring of dual numbers of $k$ variables over $R$ is the quotient ring $R [x_{1}, \dots, x_{k}] / I$ , where $I$ is the i…

Polynomial functions on rings of dual numbers over residue class rings of the integers

H. Al-Ezeh, A. A. Al-Maktry, S. Frisch

The ring of dual numbers over a ring $R$ is $R [α] = R [x] / (x^{2})$ , where $α$ denotes $x + (x^{2})$ . For any finite commutative ring $R$ , we characterize null polynomials and permutation…
