The P Experiment: A Positron Source Demonstrator for Future Lepton Colliders
Nicolas Vallis, Paolo Craievich, Mattia Schär +20
The PSI Positron Production (P or P-cubed) experiment is a demonstrator for a e+ source and capture system with potential to improve the state-of-the-art e+ yield by an order o…
Commissioning experience and beam physics measurements at the SwissFEL Injector Test Facility
T. Schietinger, M. Pedrozzi, M. Aiba +92
The SwissFEL Injector Test Facility operated at the Paul Scherrer Institute between 2010 and 2014, serving as a pilot plant and testbed for the development and realization of Swiss…
Application of a PWFA to an X-ray FEL
Yasmine Israeli, Jorge Vieira, Sven Reiche +2
There is a growing demand for X-ray Free-electron lasers (FELs) in various science fields, in particular for those with short pulses, larger photon fluxes and shorter wavelengths.…
Nanoseconds field emitted current pulses from ZrC needles and field emitter arrays
R. Ganter, R. J. Bakker, R. Betemps +15
The properties of the electron source define the ultimate limit of the beam quality in linear accelerators like Free Electron Lasers (FEL). The goal is to develop an electron gun d…
